Bülbülü altın kafese koymuşlar, ah vatanım demiş.

Literal translation: They place the nightingale in a golden cage; ah, my home! it sings.


Gülü seven dikenine katlanır.

Literal translation: [He] who loves a rose will endure its thorns.
